Cosmo Explore

Cosmo is an interactive technology that promotes inclusive music-making through specialised iPad activities and accessible hardware. The Cosmo Explore pack has been designed specifically for individuals, families and small therapy settings to support inclusive learning, therapy and play.

Cosmo Explore is made up of two parts: a set of three smart, dynamic and visually appealing buttons called “Cosmoids” and an iPad app featuring 14 highly-motivating and intuitive activities designed by teachers and occupational, physical and speech & language therapists.

1. Use Cosmo as a MIDI controller and play music in GarageBand, ThumbJam and other music-making apps.
   
2. Compose your own musical pieces with Improvisation. Assign music notes to the Cosmoids and tap each controller to play a different note.
3. Become an orchestra conductor with My Orchestra. Select a music genre and press Cosmoids to play instrumental loops.
4. Play your favourite music with Toggle and Exploration and enhance accessibility for students with limited mobility.
5. Record your voice with entertaining sound effects using My Voice.

Cosmo is versatile and able to be used in a group setting, in an individual therapy session or at home. It is evidence-based, with an independent research study specifically conducted on Cosmo yielding positive results in the areas of attention, engagement and emotional regula-tion.
