The CY Headjoint features a double flare taper and a unique embouchure hole undercut design. Due to this the flute has excellent response and a warm rich tone. In contrast to the Yamaha SE Series Clarinets is the CS Series. The latter has a shorter and narrower inner bore taper and a longer straight section. This helps deliver a concentrated and clear, straight tone.
