The Stylophone is an iconic mini synth, known for its compact design and unique retro sound. It consists of a metal keyboard made of a printed circuit board which is played by touching it with a stylus. The keyboard is set out in the same way as a piano keyboard - the bottom row of notes represents the white keys and the top row the black keys.

The Stylophone was invented in 1968 by Brian Jarvis of Dubreq Studios, London. Repairing a toy piano for his niece, Brian had the idea to replace the toy keys with electronics, creating a monophonic organ and a unique, electronic sound. A legend was born!

The Stylophone pocket synthesizer was an overnight success as an instrument that’s fun to use and easy to play. It is one of the best-selling musical instruments of all time, selling over 4 million units. It has been used by acclaimed artists from David Bowie, Kraftwerk and John Lennon to the Small Faces and The White Stripes.

The latest Stylophone features the same quirky vintage, analogue sound as the original and can be connected to your computer and other gear to enhance your sound possibilities! It’s easy to play and perfect for beginners and experienced musicians!
